To change the date format you need to go to menu Fields. Then find the date field type and click on link Edit. In the Edit field form select a format you need.

Thank you very much – this is just what I wanted. Can you tell me please. If I change the format does that effect existing records, or will they each have to be changed individually?

Glad to hear it was helpful for you.
They should be changed separately. This feature works well if you imported dates in not MTH’s default format.
In this case you just doing what described in this topic and your dates will work correct.
But this feature is not for updating all your dates columns, it just set’s it’s format. So it can be working correct running Search and Sort functions.
