I have added a team member but how to I give that team member a password to access the projects?

We have a database of about 500 members by 50 variables. We have to migrate this from a server every day and put it on web. We want to create a query for one of the members in the database using PW and extract selected data for that member and show it. Can this be done by your software? Can you take a job to develop this capability for us if yes can you gibe indication of cost range.

How can I make it so all administrator-level users are able to edit charts?

Just wondering if there’s a way I can have all the users I have registered as Administrators be able to create and edit charts as they can do with reports. Right now, when under their login and editing a chart, only the integration tab is visible, not the settings tab.

I need to create a small app for my customers to subscribe and register products to activate the extended product guarantee.
I created a simple three-level table structure:
Is it possible to restrict the customer access to its vehicles only (and products, obviously)?
Other questions:
– Can I redirect the customer to the Vehicles form or table after a successful login?
– Can I restrict the vehicles and products forms and tables access only for authenticated users?

Formula: How many days between last updated date (or any given date) to today's date?

Hi Igor,
Thank you for your answers to my earlier question.
I feel I have now learnt a lot about the logic of team and reports as well as formatting rules etc, as well as importing tables etc.
I have been glad to see that the software works really smooth and quick and there are many quite advanced options and functionalities.
I have also some ideas how to work-around some of the problems regarding emails to invited new members. I can share those ideas with you when I have tested them.

Question: How can I create a formula where i count the days since a given date?
We need to track progress of our projects and see easily how long time has gone since signing a contract for instance, or how many days left to a deadline as another example.
For that I would need to calculate the time between the dates given two date fields, where one date field would today’s date.

Can you give me some advice please?

Read and Write Team members and Create Database button

A quick question — why is the green Create Database button visible when team members with only read and write permission log in? It distracts the user from the records they are intended to use.

Lookup & Filtering

Team records can be filtered by a user. For instance students added by each user can only be seen by that user (and the administrator in records). But if records are accessed in a relationship drop-down those records are not and cannot be filtered so that the logged in user can only select from their “added by” students. Is this correct?

Confirmation email

Am I correct that there is currently no way to send an email confirmation to a Team Member using the team member’s login credentials rather than the Email field?

Linking forms

I would like to create a form with course data… then have separate form for student data. This would allow students to be linked to a course and not having to enter course details every time. each course added would need to be separate from the next course…

Customer login/profile updates counted as Users?

I need to build a simple database form that captures customer’s profile and allows them to login, view and update their profile.
– would they be counted as a Team User in your Standard, Pro, Enterprise products? Or are they treated as external users that don’t count as team users?

This impacts the pricing, so wanted to know before i start developing

About exclusive editing control

Scenario: I just published a table to a small group of teammates, in order to collect information and track updates. In some cases more than one colleague would update the same record at the same time, as a result one’s submit would overwrite the other’s, incurring loss of (possibly very important) data.

I have created a form in which a representative has to fill in a field. This document will be mailed to the manager who will evaluate the application/request. If he decides to give it a ‘go’ by filling in/submitting a second field, the third person will be informed by mail. This person will complete the form with necessary data. In my example I have created three forms ( representative, manager and administration).

What people may see in the form:
representative ==> field 1
manager ==> field 1 and 2
administration ==> field 1 and 2 and 3

First I have created a form “administration” in which the three fields are available.
Secondly I have made a clone of form administration (name = “manager”), removed field 3. The data are submitted to form “administration”.
Finally I have made a clone of form manager (name=“representative”) and have removed field 2. The data are submitted to form “manager”.

I don’t know if this setup is allowed or is ok for use. It doesn’t work since it is not submitting data tot the main table (“administration”).

I find it strange that after setup I loose the possibility in the second table “manager” on advanced settings, it doesn’t react anymore.

Can I receive some help please?



Leave Field Blank and Return Later

I am playing at setting up a time tracking application for my team.

I would like the blokes to log into a job. close the form, then come back later and find the record again and update it with tasks completed and end time.

I cant see a way to do this. Anyone?

Relationship (filtered)

Igor — Is it possible to create filtered relationships for forms? For instance, using your relationship example I created tables for teams and players. Now I would like to create a form relationship that filters selections, where if I choose FC Dynamo from the Team Drop-down I will only have FC Dynamo players on the Player Drop-down. Is that currently possible?

I would like to create a databases that allow members to login and and logout much the same way as I have here.
I would also like for those members to be able to update or change their member details is this possible with MTH?

Member - Export/Import

For a “Member” (read-only), the “Import” link should be disabled (better if it’s not even shown), but, the “Export” link should be shown (it’s not) and should enabled.

Since there isn’t any reporting feature (yet), these type Users should have a way to get a report on this data (an export to a spreadsheet is an alternative) – they can’t change the database by just exporting, so, there’a no harm, and, if someone didn’t want them to export, they shouldn’t have access to view this data online.

Read,write and not delete

I think it would be an excellent addition if we had the option to export to Excel via download rather than email. I just discovered that you have download capability built into the Team member export (so it may not be a complicated addition) — and it would be a most useful addition for my clients.
