Hello – I would like to an SSIS C# script component to extract form data, on a daily basis using the JSON REST API. How would you suggest retrieving only the new new records added since the previous extract? Is there a way to filter the records? How can I remove the records retrieved in bulk? Do you have any code examples?

Received 401 Unauthorized response with REST request

I am trying to fetch all form records using the documented pattern ‘/apps/APP_ID/dtypes/entity/ENTITY_ID.json’ in Java 8, with Retrofit2, and Gson to handle JSON stuff, but I received 401 response no matter how I try.
The complete URL can produce valid response in Chrome browser, but receives only brackets([]) in Safari.
I tried to set an API key in the body, but the Retrofit framework complained that body is not acceptable in a GET method. That seems to violate the specifications of HTTP 1.1.
Then I tried to use POST method instead, got the same 401 response.
I have no idea. Is there any operational sample written in Java?

Hi Igor,

I’m facing a problem I’m not sure why. I have several forms with Image upload and they work fine.

I created a new form and used Image field and try to upload different JPG’s but getting the attached error “File type not allowed”.

All other forms are working perfectly, only 2 forms newly created not accepting upload.

I understand that you are highly rated and used by many satisfied customers, but with all due respect I still have a few security concerns as I have a business to run.

I value the simplicity of your service, it allows me to create and customize forms at my convenience. My customers will need to use the forms that I create to upload sensitive information and documentation. I don’t know how comfortable they would feel in doing so through a system that is not as “trusted” as Oracle or Google, for example. I do trust you, but I need some kind of tangible proof that their sensitive information and documentation is safe. How can I best assure them that their data is secure?

I’m interested in using MTH but not sure if its what I need. I am a lawyer and would like to put a few basic legal forms on my webpage. I need the user that comes to the webpage to be able to fill in a few form fields (text boxes) and then have the information that is input to be exported to the final form such as a simple will form. Not sure I explained very well but I know there are a lot of online systems that allow people to answer questions in a text box and then create a form. Can I do this type of thing with MTH?

How do I hide and/or re-order the columns that appear on the Records screen for a form?

I have tried modifying the checkbox options in both Form Settings —> Fields and Table Settings —> Columns but none of my changes are reflected anywhere.

As an example, I would like to hide the Salutation field on the Contact form from the Records view for the form (https://mytaskhelper.com/apps/baW6lcImnhfOo8W6FdSrSK/dtypes/entity/chW7ddLmniW7PZsmkrW4m2).

Is it possible to have drop down menus appear in forms/reports as drop downs right on the page, without having to click on the field and then click on the drop down? It would be one less click.

Is it possible to pull fields from more than 1 form into a single report? Specifically…

I have a form called Owners and a second form called Pets. I had them linked. Each owner can have 1 or more pets but every pet has only 1 owner. I want to create a report that lists Owners and their Pets. It might look something like this:

John Smith
Mary Jones
Sam Spade

When I try to create a Report, I can select any column from the Owners form but none from the linked form, Pets.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Igor,

I have a form with Name (no duplicated entry configured) and Image Upload 1, Image Upload 2 ..etc.

When a user enters a duplicate name, and the form gives instructions to change it, the user changes the name but upon submission the form gives an error saying “Image 1 can’t be blank. Image 2 can’t be blank” although pictures are already uploaded. Once we re-upload the pictures there is no problem.

I tried both “validate only on submit” and without (while checking “can’t be blank”) but still if a user enters a duplicate name, the images won’t be submitted unless we re-upload them.

This gives confusion to my users. Please advise, thank you.

I’m attempting to use a report of a database that was through specific search, meaning I only have a few of the total entries that are in the full database actually in the report. When I attempt to use the report as the data source in a chart, however, I get no bars in the bar graphs, also no lines in the line graphs above 0, either. Still, when I use the entire database for that same specific form as the data source, it will show the graphs correctly each time.

Any thoughts on this issue I’m having?

Under Forms > Fields > Advanced Options, I enabled “Created At” and “Added by” to be shown in the Records, however I don’t see those fields after checking them (attached screenshot).

Is the option to automatically add the date of the form submitted working? Couldn’t find “Added by” either.


Location in form

Hi Igor,

Is there a way to have a Location option in the form where the user can share his location from a single button click?

I know there’s a location field that displays latitude and longitude, but I’m embedding the form into a mobile application, and have a javascript where the user can click a button to get his exact coordinates. I’m trying to parse this data into the form, the only way is to copy / paste.

I thought maybe there’s an option or feature where users can use the MTH form to submit their location into the form and retrieve it in the record page?

Login in an update form

I reach out to you once again to see if you could help me with an issue. I’m trying to validate a user before he could update a record in a form. Let me explain myself I’m creating a sort of workflow in wich users register services request, and vendors place bids for their services. In order to do this I created a table for the Services and one for the Vendors so they registre themselves.

I created a form in a report in wich Vendors can only update a field called Bid (wich is the amount for completign the service) and then the user can accept the service or not. The problem is that I need the vendor information to be registred in this report but this must be validated (probably with a Login form) but I don’t know how to link this to forms.

In a simple way, I want to make a user Log In before they can update a record form another table, and also in this table to keep registred who updated it last.

I’m having a hard time trying to explain what I need so if you have further question in this case, please contact me.

I have a main Form (Identifica) to which I have created relationships one-to-many to all the rest of the secondary forms in the same project.
Actually in Identifica (Fields) I only can see one of the Relationships that I did (Emergencia). Where are the rest?

Now, our actual idea is simple.
It is intended for emergencies information in a non-profit association (http://centroarrupevalencia.org/).

Two situations:
1 – One patient, from Form Identifica, choses a User and Password and then he can enter and modify records related to him:
a) One record in the main form (Identifica)
b) Several records in each of the rest of the tables, related to the main by same User and Password.
2 – Any visitor can view (not enter neither modify) all records of a user just entering the User (no password) of the patient.

New user, first form

Upon completion got a prompt “No Forms found, Add One!”

I have no idea where to go or what to do… Oh, I tried this twice with the same result… HELP!

when I use form widget on a form, I can select the fields I want to show in the form, as you learned me.

when I do the same on a report based on a form, I can also select the fields, but the system changes the field selection also in the first form. they seem to be connected.

is there a way to differentiate the fields that are shown between a form based on a form and a form based on a report or is it always the same?

Bug between my records

I am cleaning the data that I imported and I have discovered that several of the records are connected to each other and when I choose “select theater” for one, it changes the other. This is all in the Production Form. One of the entries for 16th Street Theatre is linked to one of the entries for Cabrini Repertory Theater. Another 16th Street is linked to Cafe de la Gare. There are two Cherry Lane Theatre entries that are linked, one to the Cleveland Public, another to Company One.

Please tell me how I can unlink these.

Compulsory Hidden Check Box - Stops Form Processing

I don’t think I have made an error.

I added a check box for yes and a check box for no.

I made the check box control compulsory

I told the check box to only be visible if end time is not empty in rules

However when I then enter a start time and submit the form it is firing a warning requiring a choice. This is the warning tied to the not visible check boxes. Is there a step I am missing?

default value coming back when editing

when we do this on line 45 for example, the default value for R&D owner is shown again, although this value was filled in previously as Pierre Yves
for other lines, where Maarte is R&D owner, the value stays.

Limit Date Acceptance on a Form

I have a form for Leave where the blokes fill in their first day off work and their anticipated return to work date. How would I generate a pop up message and stop the form processing if they entered a date between a black out period?

In other words if I want to say in May no leave every year. Regardless of when they apply between 1st of May and 31st of May the form wont process and pops a warning which I can customise to say no leave during this period?

Problem with importing CSV file to create a Table/Form

I’m unsure as to what the root of the problem is but when I try to test the DB out by importing some of my CSV files, it won’t import and I would like to find a resolution to my problem.

May it be because the file size or the number of input data is too much?

Form Field in Email Heading

Somehow my form has decided the Default U.S. States value is “Alabama.” How can I set (and keep) the default State to Null?

Change form field type designation

It seems that when a field is created and allocated as a specific type and then subsequently changed to another type MTH appears to retain the previous settings and defaults for the previous field type. For example, field initially created as an image field with a default file and then changed to a single line text field with no defaults then the image default is written as text by MTH. Please check this for yourself but seems to be the case when I take this action.

Total Field

I would like my total field to be displayed and be able to move to other areas of the record view. EX: I move it from the bottom and want it under a certain field. Moving the total field within the form does not change the record view.

Duplicate A Form

When a form is created to contain default images and blank section headings and then Duplicated both the default images and blank section headings are dropped from the newly created form. This results in the user being forced to re-create all default data for the duplicated form, very time consuming!

I confirm that when a duplicated form is set to use Submit To feature that while text field defaults are being read by the data entry form the image fields seem to read in from the original source form – the one that the duplicate was created from – even though the duplicate form has saved the replacing default images.

Linking Fields and drop down menu from different form

Hi, I would like to enable a field, to choose options from a field in another form/table. I thought this could be done through relationships, but it seems not.

Eg, The field Car_colour from Car db, would be chosen come from colours table.

All the colours would appear as records in the colours table.

Then in the Car db, when you arrive at the Car_Colour field, a drop down list would appear with records from the colours table.

Integrating form in Website

I’m not sure what I am doing wrong. The first time I integrated my form into my website it worked (pasting the code). However when I edited the form and re-pasted it I received this message:

The server could not complete your request. Permission denied.

The error comes up when I try to save the webpage (Using Microsoft Expressions web site builder). The form doesn’t show up in the web page- just a blank i frame.

However when I made a new form and pasted the code it showed up in the webpage but I received the same error when I tried to save the page.

Any suggestions? Is this an error on my side or on Mytaskhelper?

P.S. When I paste using the link method it works fine!!!!

Is there a way to include the form URL in a reminder (and perhaps customize the message) so that the reminder can be used to remind a form-filler every two weeks (or whatever time period) from each last submission to fill and submit the form again. They get the reminder, they click the URL and then fill and submit the form again.

Forms to Tables

One of the features I think would be very handy would be to able to have more than one form for entry of data to the same table. I don’t think this is possible now.

In my specific instance I am thinking of testing we do and testing the client does.

It would be nice to be able to offer the client the ability to input their test result and we already input our test result into the same single table. However, as currently configured I cant do this. The way we enter the information the staff name is recorded being one of our staff, the client staff wouldn’t be in our system therefore they would perhaps enter their initials or something and so on.

Form "Stacking" In E-Mail

I’ve run into a problem with my Forms “stacking” on top of one another. This happens when multiple forms are filled out in a single day (Same form). This seems to only happen in Google mail. I realize that the forms are stacking because the Subject line is the same for each form filled out. An easy fix is a time stamp. If each form was time stamped they would have different subject lines and not stack anymore. If anyone has any suggestions on what I can do in the mean time, I am open for suggestions. Add onSubmit-event

It is critical for us to track the form user using Google Analytics. Both where they come from and if they have submitted the form.

In order to do so, we need to add a javascript inside the form aswell as add an event-handler on the submit-button.

I have emailed support about these issues and got the answer that I should post a request in the forum section.

Duplicate Form Integration into new projects

I think we need a feature that will allow duplicate forms to be placed into new projects. Right now the system won’t allow for this and changing the ID numbers does not help. Perhaps a feature that would assign the duplicate form to be assigned new valid ID’s would help.

We recently made changes to a few forms and cloned them to separate our two companies. The form changes aren’t showing up in either form once summited as well as the email chain changes. Basically when I change the Emails in all columns It still sends to the people it was set to originally(when form was first created). The forms giving Issue are listed below

Moved form - lost data

Hey, I moved a form from one project to another and seem to have lost all my records in the process. The form appears blank!

The form was a list of philanthropic donors who have given to our charity. The data is incredibly valuable. I do hope this hasn’t been lost!

A screen shot suggests that the information is still in the system somehow, but it’s appearing blank.
