I am new with database’s, I set up a search and saved it for a Report via the Portal however I am not happy with the results of the search.

e-mail notification problem 2

Hi Igor,

I am using some reports, I allow data to be changed with a table widget.
the table widget redirects to form widget.
in the form widget I have e-mail field.

I would like the person changing the data, and leaving his e-mail address, to receive a notification of his changes.

I can’t find how.

only the normal notification is working. see attachment.

How can I make it so all administrator-level users are able to edit charts?

Just wondering if there’s a way I can have all the users I have registered as Administrators be able to create and edit charts as they can do with reports. Right now, when under their login and editing a chart, only the integration tab is visible, not the settings tab.

I’m getting a 500 error when trying to access Reports in one of my forms. Is there something I’ve done wrong or is it a temporary problem on MTH’s side?

Drop down menus and dates

Is it possible to have drop down menus appear in forms/reports as drop downs right on the page, without having to click on the field and then click on the drop down? It would be one less click.

Also, is there an option in date fields to have a calendar date picker pop up, rather than a three column selector?

Possible to link fields from multiple forms into a single report?

Is it possible to pull fields from more than 1 form into a single report? Specifically…

I have a form called Owners and a second form called Pets. I had them linked. Each owner can have 1 or more pets but every pet has only 1 owner. I want to create a report that lists Owners and their Pets. It might look something like this:

John Smith
Fido
Rover
Spot
Mary Jones
Fluffy
Sam Spade
Ringo
Paul
John
George

When I try to create a Report, I can select any column from the Owners form but none from the linked form, Pets.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Form widget different for a report based on a form

I have a report which is made based on a form.
I try to have a different selction of fields for the form widget.
When I change the fields for the form widget linked to the form, the form widget of the form changes at the same time.

Is it possible to differentiate?

Anyone Able To Help Me Build an MTH Databse

I think that MTH will be able to do most of what I am looking for but, whilst it may be an easy interface for people with more technical skills than me, I am finding it quite difficult without a tutorial that shows you how to get started and what each of the choices in the fields options and advanced options do! I have no idea what ‘Validate on submit’ means or ‘FORMAT (REGULAR EXPRESSION’ means or what to use it for.

I am enjoying learning but I need to get my project up and running. Is there anyone that can help me put this together? I need help to create the user accounts, front interface and various reports etc.

This is probably dead easy for someone with experience of the software but for me, I think it is going to take too long to learn each part to be able to make it work.

Agents information
Surveyor information
Manager Information

Agent logs in and loads up relevant lead information
Admin allocates to a manager who then begins process and checks
Manager, on completion of checks, books a survey and allocates to the surveyor
Manager on completion of the survey send to installer who books and carries out the install

The agent can only see progress of his leads
Agent and manager can see all leads.

Surveyors can only see their leads
Installers only see their own installs

I am able and have setup the fields and a few of the rules and formatting options but I need help with CSS and, report building.



Struggling to find tutorial Videos

Hi

I cant find many video tutorials on youtube for the new version of MTH and I need a lot of help ;-(
Am I looking in the wrong place?

We are looking to create a database that will do the following

We are calling on prospects to offer them a new heating boiler for their home

We collect the data, then do certain checks. Once the checks are completed and the customer is approved we then send out a surveyor to inspect the property. Once the survey is done then we send it to the installer. Once it is installed then the lead generator is paid

We need for the:-

For agents to add leads to a database (i worked this out :-) )
For agents to view their own leads and status only (not that of others)

I would like to take the 1st 4 characters of their business name and add an incremental number to make this their ID. Can this be automated?

When the agent logs in and adds leads in the lead data entry form I would like to automatically add their agent ID. Or even add from a drop down box if it can’t be added automatically

How do you capitalise the letters automatically?


For admin to go in and allocate the leads to a lead manager ( the lead manager only sees their leads)
for the lead manager to book a date for a surveyor –
For the surveyor to see his booked leads with addresses
For lead manager to then allocate to an installer – Installer only sees installs allocated to them

In the data entry forms is it possible to have Multiple columns?

So for example:
Mr David Testing
rather than
Mr
David
Testing

We would like to have 2 columns for some of the fields like their name. Also telephone and email horizontal rather than vertical

Hi Igor,
Thank you for your answers to my earlier question.
I feel I have now learnt a lot about the logic of team and reports as well as formatting rules etc, as well as importing tables etc.
I have been glad to see that the software works really smooth and quick and there are many quite advanced options and functionalities.
I have also some ideas how to work-around some of the problems regarding emails to invited new members. I can share those ideas with you when I have tested them.

Question: How can I create a formula where i count the days since a given date?
We need to track progress of our projects and see easily how long time has gone since signing a contract for instance, or how many days left to a deadline as another example.
For that I would need to calculate the time between the dates given two date fields, where one date field would today’s date.

Can you give me some advice please?

Reports of specific records can't seem to be used as data sources for charts

Hi,

I’m attempting to use a report of a database that was through specific search, meaning I only have a few of the total entries that are in the full database actually in the report. When I attempt to use the report as the data source in a chart, however, I get no bars in the bar graphs, also no lines in the line graphs above 0, either. Still, when I use the entire database for that same specific form as the data source, it will show the graphs correctly each time.

Any thoughts on this issue I’m having?

Login in an update form

Hello,

I reach out to you once again to see if you could help me with an issue. I’m trying to validate a user before he could update a record in a form. Let me explain myself I’m creating a sort of workflow in wich users register services request, and vendors place bids for their services. In order to do this I created a table for the Services and one for the Vendors so they registre themselves.

I created a form in a report in wich Vendors can only update a field called Bid (wich is the amount for completign the service) and then the user can accept the service or not. The problem is that I need the vendor information to be registred in this report but this must be validated (probably with a Login form) but I don’t know how to link this to forms.

In a simple way, I want to make a user Log In before they can update a record form another table, and also in this table to keep registred who updated it last.

I’m having a hard time trying to explain what I need so if you have further question in this case, please contact me.

I can see how to make a search report that has the specific terms I set for a search, but I want one that allows the user to fill in a search item.

I’m a little new to MyTaskHelper so apologies if this is a dumb question! I’m looking to create a job board for my website, of which I want to access embed codes for filtered results.

So for example, I want to have the full job board on the front page of the site, but I will have pages for each individual country for which the jobs are available, so I want them to click on the country page and be able to view the filtered results already. I saw on the forums that this feature seemed to be added in 2011, but I can’t figure out how to do it!

Fetch report records REST API

I tried to fetch the report records using the documented API URL and query parameters, but the MTH server seems to reply the whole table every time, instead of the report which filters out some of the records.
I’ve checked the log of my program and the formulated HTTP GET request is:

Some of the parameter values have been replaced with bracketed holders in order to protect sensitive information.

So my small project for the small company is to migrate our database and our web content management system to a more streamline service.

report widget no results

I created per member of my salesteam a report widget
This is based on the report “submitted from”.
I tried the this morning and it worked….
now I was double checking before I send out instructions, and the table seems to be empty.
also the report preview is empty.
did I change something by accident?

form widget based on form vs form report

when I use form widget on a form, I can select the fields I want to show in the form, as you learned me.

when I do the same on a report based on a form, I can also select the fields, but the system changes the field selection also in the first form. they seem to be connected.

is there a way to differentiate the fields that are shown between a form based on a form and a form based on a report or is it always the same?

I am almost there !

Annoyance With Created At

Is it possible to get created at to be true both on the record and on the download.

I have corrected the created at time to reflect our local time – 29-06-2017 08:45:54. However on the download I am getting- 2017-06-28 19:45:54 -0500. Would save me a lot of mucking about if I can download in the local format same as is recorded.

On a related note, it would be nice to be able to include created at in the Charts, Reports and so on. In this case I see no purpose in the user inputting a date and time if I can use created by to record it. But I need to show it in records and charts and so on (not edit it).

I have four requests about the PDF reports.

1. Can the settings be adjusted and retained so that there is default I set, either for myself or even better for a project? Currently I get 11 point font and a huge paper size, so each time I have to chage the font and the paper size and orientation.

2. Could it be possible to send the PDF to a client rather than to me, or to both?

3. Can the PDF be sent as an attachment that is the PDF file itself not is a zip inside a folder. PDFs are not large and the zip creates additional steps. Could this be an option setting?

4. Could the PDF be customized like a the Email Newsletter, so I could specfic a standard heading and explanation to go along with the records.

It would be a great addition if the Database Widget supported check-box selection of initial items viewed in the database report, and then a link clicked in to the full detail report for unique entries.

Using this format the data from longer forms can be rendered more efficiently.
