How to have Action triggers once, but not on all Record Edits?

Anyway to prevent “Actions” to run only once and from re-triggering after a record has been edited? I have trigger for when a File field is “not empty.” Anytime that record is edited, the Action gets runs again if a file has already been uploaded.

Is there a way or Condition that only triggers if “on change” or something like that? I also tried an extra validation field in the Action conditions (yes/no) but since its value is saved it is only useful for the initial edit.

1) Anyway to run Actions once per-record or prevent from running
2) Anyway to reset a form field to a value – regardless of what was saved in the record?

Workflow to help: Person X submits initial form → Person Y receives notice from Allow End-User Edits Notification, and uploads a file to that record via Edit Records → Action is triggered by the file being uploaded to the record and email sent to Person Z

Hidden field option

On a previous interface of MTH there was an option to make a field hidden, and only shown in records for admin. I used it before in a “Date” field.
However, on the newer interface, I can’t seem to find that option. I scrolled through the menu (attached) but can’t find the checkbox with the Hidden option to make field in the form hidden.

Any help is much appreciated.

How do I hide and/or re-order the columns that appear on the Records screen for a form?

I have tried modifying the checkbox options in both Form Settings —> Fields and Table Settings —> Columns but none of my changes are reflected anywhere.

As an example, I would like to hide the Salutation field on the Contact form from the Records view for the form (https://mytaskhelper.com/apps/baW6lcImnhfOo8W6FdSrSK/dtypes/entity/chW7ddLmniW7PZsmkrW4m2).

Please advise.

Side by side fields

Hi, is there a way to have two fields side-by-side and not under each other? Attached example of ‘working hours’ where I want to put AM / PM radio buttons or check boxes side by side.

Dear Sir/Madam,

i am looking to build a request form of several services which i provide. The Customer is to select the required service via a TABLE.
Therefore, I am looking to make check box which means he select the main service (each service has a cost which means each select box is a value)
then after selecting the main service the customer to add the details of the selected service via a table
he will add a raw for each additional service. which is a drop down box (as each check box is a main service, thus each check box has a drop down button. and each one has a value)
at end he will see how much is the selected service.

i had made a mock sample of required form (used excel) hope this will help you to assist me to my requirement. i don’t know how to do an add button, i only places a “+”

Checkbox field creating multiple records

I have a standard checkbox field on my Project form that is causing some issues when selecting multiple options. The field is titled ‘Associate(s)’ and if you select more than one Associate here, the system creates that many records of the Project form. In other words, if there are 3 associates selected for a given project, once I save, 3 duplicate projects are created. All I want to do is capture more than one associate name on a single project record. Can this be done?

Compulsory Hidden Check Box - Stops Form Processing

I don’t think I have made an error.

I added a check box for yes and a check box for no.

I made the check box control compulsory

I told the check box to only be visible if end time is not empty in rules

However when I then enter a start time and submit the form it is firing a warning requiring a choice. This is the warning tied to the not visible check boxes. Is there a step I am missing?

Isn’t it possible to obligate a user to check at least one of the fields in a check box. It would be nice to obligate a user to check at least one item. Now users can forget or ignore the fields.



Default Value box not big enough

When I add a default value for a checkbox, the add/submit/cancel buttons aren’t accessible anymore. If there was an ability to scroll down within the dialog box, or ifthe dialog box would expand when I add more values, this would solve the problem.

Multiple Record Creation

Checkboxes appearing incorrectly in records

Suddenly when a record is updated or a new entry is made the database is recording every checkbox as a value even though they are NOT checked. Please solve this problem! Thanks.

Editting checkbox

I can edit all my fields accept the checkboxes. How do I delete or add to a particular checkbox with out deleating the whole field (after Ive created the form)???.

The simple checkbox adds unique data rows to the submission table/spreadsheet for each checkbox item selected. Adding this capability to the relationship checkbox would be a powerful addition to MTH as it allows much more precise sorting and filtering of MTH records.

Limited Selection

This feature request is to have a limit to the selection within a checkbox, or dropdown that would prevent other users from making the same selection.

EX: To select an appointment time with someone and make that time become unavailable for for the next person who fills out the form.

CSS to create table for checkbox section

I created a submission form that is shown on this page:


The last section of the form is a question with 10 checkboxes. Instead of all 10 in one column, I was hoping to spread them out over three columns.

I tried the CSS code example provided on MyTaskHelper, but it doesn’t seem to work for checkboxes.

Change Default to Edit Default

Just started a trial for MTH and I was wondering if it is possible to edit the Checkbox fields once the field has been added to the form. I have done a quick search through the support forums, but cannot find anything about this.

It would be a great addition if the Database Widget supported check-box selection of initial items viewed in the database report, and then a link clicked in to the full detail report for unique entries.

Using this format the data from longer forms can be rendered more efficiently.

Allow creation of checkboxes for record search

When creating a database search, allow the creation of a search form that you can list choices. Such as…
5:00am to 6:00am
6:00am to 7:00 am
7:00 am to 8:00 am

These would match entries in the database
