Have you owned a German Shepherd as an adult? Are you aware that German Shepherds are herding breeds that can instinctively chase children and pets (cats, chickens, livestock) and nip heels. They can be protective and need guidance from you as to acceptable behavior. Young dogs are extremely active and need at least an hour of exercise each day. You must be a strong leader and continue training to succeed. Please describe what you know about the breed and your experience.
