SOKC - During a routine kennel inspection, one of the investigators moved some papers on the work table and discovered an empty 3cc syringe with needle and cap; Smith told investigators that the syringe had contained testosterone for one of his dogs and that Dr. Bruce Olson, DVM, periodically injects all of the female dogs in the kennel; near the syringe, investigators also found a medicine bottle (without a valid prescription) marked "Rimadyl Tabs" and it contained 3 1/2 tablets and 3 cephalexin tablets; a consent order was sent to Smith and agreed upon by him and DBPR so he paid a fine of $75 and the case was closed |
