Originally fined $1000 and license suspended for 60 days in relation to $870.00 that was stolen from an OTB; Bernath did not appear at the Director's hearing but the manager of OTB Operations at Phoenix Greyhound Park (Ed Braunger) testified by phone that Bernath had repaid the missing $870.00 and that his employment at the OTB was terminated prior to his repayment of this money; based on the findings, the Director increased the fine from $1000 to $2000 and Bernath's license remains suspended until the $2000 fine is paid in full; if license expires prior to payment of fine, Bernath will be ineligible for relicensure until the fine is paid |
