DESCRIPTION/NOTES |
While conducting a routine inspection at the Florida Kennel Compound, investigators were told that Dickinson was currently unable to properly care for his greyhounds; an inspection of the kennel revealed the greyhounds had not been turned out or fed that morning and kennel helpers from the neighboring kennel reported that it was unusual for Dickinson to not care for his dogs and that he had heart problems and possibly suffered a medical emergency inside the kennel; investigators learned later in the day that Dickinson was hospitalized after suffering a heart attack; contact was made with Joseph Truddent of the True Paws Kennel as he operates a non-profit that helps greyhound owners in need; arrangements were made to care for Dickinson's dogs until he returns |
