Greyhound names "Hallo Crusader" died after completing a race; the Track Vet (Vega) confirmed the cause of death to be a massive heart attack which was incurred immediately after completing the race - an attempt was made to administer CPR to the greyhound, but the greyhound was unresponsive & was pronounced dead; Vega was interviewed on 8/6/07 & stated that a heart attack for a five year old greyhound may be considered unusual but not uncommon; this is the second greyhound to die after a race for the same trainer (Monica Smith Rigo) & owner (James E. O'Donnell, Jr.) in 3 days |
