DESCRIPTION/NOTES |
JCKC - Case was opened at our (GREY2K USA's) request based on information received from several sources that Mobley was euthanizing and disposing of greyhounds from JCKC at the farm he supervises as part of his full-time job at Florida A&M University; DBPR Investigator, Jim Barnes, worked on this case and his investigation process included interviews with Mobley and JCKC trainer, Saul Mays (who was named by one informant as employing Mobley's services), inspections of the farms at FAMU, Mobley's family farm and Mays family farm; Barnes details in his notes that during all inspections, he investigated the ground surfaces for signs of depressions in the soil or upturned earth that could possibly be a burial ground, but he did not observe anything of this sort; he also spoke with several other staff members at FAMU (including the vet tech that operates the incinerator at the FAMU farm) but did not find anything to confirm these allegations against Mobley; after several months of investigation, not having substantial evidence to support these claims and without tipsters willing to come forward with additional or more concrete info, Barnes closed the case without disciplinary action against Mobley |
