DESCRIPTION/NOTES |
Consumer complaint - he purchased a ticket for a simulcast race in New York; it was at first deemed a no winner and the patron discarded the ticket. However, an inquiry by the Judges quickly resulted I the ticket being a winning ticket, but when the patron went back to find his ticket, he could not. Even though an investigation confirms that the ticket the patron described was indeed purchased and was a winner, it would be a violation of pari-mutuel rules to pay out the winnings without the presentation of the ticket. The ticket was not cashed by any other individual. Case closed with no winnings paid out. |
