A routine kennel inspection of kennel #6 at Tucson Greyhound Park uncovered the presence of 3 unauthorized syringes; was originally fined $500 by the Board of Stewards and appealed this decision; he did appear the appeal hearing but did not offer any evidence that anyone else owned or was responsible for the presence of the syringes in the kennel; however, the lack of presence of racing greyhounds in the kennel caused the Director to modify the fine imposed from $500 to $300. Since the appellant has already paid the $500 fine, he will be refunded $200 |
