You no longer need to forcibly choose one type of view for everyone — now the interface adapts automatically.
We are happy to introduce a new option for tables in QuintaDB — automatic switching between "Tile" and "Table" views depending on the user's device type.
This means that:
Your mobile users will automatically see a tile interface, adapted for a small screen.
And desktop users — the familiar table view with maximum data density.
You no longer need to forcibly choose one type of view for everyone — now the interface adapts automatically.
Go to the table in the "Records" menu.
Enable the "Tile view" option, and only after that will the "Tile and Table (auto by device)" option appear, which also needs to be enabled.
Done! The interface will adapt automatically.
Go to the "Table Widget" page and on the right, in the "Tile" section, first enable "Tile view", and then "Tile and Table (auto by device)".
Go to the portal settings page and, on the right, in the "Tile" section, enable "Tile view" and "Auto" for the respective table.
🛠️ This function was created based on a real request from one of our business clients who works in the IoT field. Their clients actively use mobile devices on construction sites and needed a more convenient view on the go.
🔥 Who is it for?
If your users often access from smartphones or tablets
If it's important for you that the interface is adaptive without unnecessary settings
If you want to provide a better UX without code — this function is for you
