Major QuintaDB Update: A New Level of Automation and Data Organization

We've updated QuintaDB for better data organization and more powerful automations. Discover the new 'Automations' module and an optimized interface – a step towards even greater flexibility and integrations.

We are excited to announce one of the most significant updates in QuintaDB, aimed at drastically improving usability, interface logic, and expanding automation capabilities. These changes are a crucial step in the evolution of QuintaDB as a flexible no-code platform that effectively turns your data into actionable solutions.

Our main goal was to create a more intuitive environment where all functions related to automation and data are located exactly where you expect to find them. Thanks to your feedback, we have carefully reviewed and reorganized key sections of the platform. Let's take a closer look at what has changed.

1. The New "Automations" Module: A Single Hub for Your Processes

This is the central and most important change! We have created a brand new "Automations" module, which now serves as a single hub for all your automated processes and scheduled tasks. This module allows you to manage automations in the context of specific tables/forms.

Now, in the main menu on the left, you will find a separate Automations item.

What Was Moved to "Automations"?

  • Conditional Actions: This powerful module, previously located in the Form Builder, has been renamed Automations and has become the main part of the new section. It allows you to create complex logical chains: what to do when a specific event occurs (e.g., form submission or record update).

Notable Improvements: The description of automations has become much more informative, using intuitive icons and clearly showing what and when will be done.

  • Reminders: The reminders functionality, which was previously a separate tab on the Records page, is now conveniently located under the "Automations" module. This is logical, as reminders are a type of automated notification triggered by a specific schedule or condition.

"Reminders" are now available in the "Automations" module.

  • Data Export Scheduling: Previously, this function was found in the "Export" control on the Records page. It is now also a subsection of "Automations," allowing you to centrally manage all your scheduled tasks.

  • Broadcast Scheduling: The functionality for creating scheduled email and SMS broadcasts, which was previously part of the "Broadcasts" module, has also been moved to "Automations".

You can now schedule broadcasts directly from "Automations".

Changes to creating a scheduled broadcast: The first step when creating a scheduled broadcast is now to select a template, which makes the process more logical and efficient.

2. Updated Data Organization and Navigation

We have also made important changes to the sections concerning data management and general navigation for even greater convenience:

  • "Records" is renamed to "Data": For greater clarity and versatility, the "Records" menu item is now called Data. This better reflects its role as the central hub for everything related to your data.

  • Reorganization of tabs in "Data" and "Form Builder": We have changed the order of tabs in the "Data" section. The sequence is now: "Records", then "Form Builder", followed by the new "Automations" tab. In the Form Builder, the "Data" tab now comes second, and "Automations" comes third.

  • Updated "Broadcasts" module: The icon for the "Broadcasts" module in the main menu has changed, making it more modern and recognizable. Furthermore, the "Automation" button was removed from this module, as the scheduling functionality is now fully integrated into the new "Automations" module. This allowed us to make the "Broadcasts" section more focused on managing the broadcasts themselves and their templates.

The updated Broadcasts module without the Automation button

The updated "Broadcasts" interface is now without the "Automation" button, focusing on templates and manual sending.

What Does This Mean for You?

These changes are not just an interface refresh – they are a strategic step that makes QuintaDB an even more flexible and powerful no-code platform. We are creating an architecture that will allow you to fully utilize the potential of your data, automate even more processes, and effectively adapt to your business needs. We believe these improvements are the foundation for future innovations that will make your work even more productive.

We are always striving to develop QuintaDB based on the needs and feedback of our users. Understanding which tools and features are most valuable to you helps us direct our efforts in the right direction.
