Maps in QuintaDB

You can create Maps in QuintaDB using data from several tables or reports

Using Maps in your web applications, you can show locations and interact with points on the map. It's a powerful tool for store locators, service directories, and event management.

Step 1: Preparation

Your table should have a column with an address or coordinates. Open your application and navigate to the "Maps" module in the left-side menu.

Step 2: Connect Data Source

Create a new map and add one or more data sources (tables or reports). You must select the specific column containing the location data.

Step 3: Customize Markers

A marker identifies a location. You can choose a title from your database columns and customize the marker icon. You can use standard icons, upload your own, or even show a picture directly from a record column.

Pro Tip: Activate "Change the location on the Map" to enable drag-and-drop. Moving a marker on the map will automatically update the address in your database!

Step 4: Interactive Actions

You can define what happens when a user clicks on a marker:

  • Show a specific column or custom text.
